How to Join the ORA Google Group

The ORA Google Group is a forum for questions, collaboration, and information about network science, ORA, and NetMapper.

Steps

Joining takes a few minutes

  1. Go to the group page: groups.google.com/group/ORA-google-group.
  2. Sign in with a Google Account. A Google Account is required to join or post on the web, change your subscription type, or read restricted posts online. It does not mean signing up for Gmail; an existing Gmail login already counts as a Google Account. If you do not have one, select Create an Account, click the link in the verification email, then return to the group page and sign in.
  3. Select the Apply for group membership link on the right side of the page.
  4. Choose how you want to receive messages from the group.
  5. Enter a nickname. Other members will see it.
  6. In the text box, enter your name, your organization, and a short description of how you use social or dynamic network analysis.
  7. Select the Apply to this group button.
  8. A message confirms your request was sent to the Group Manager. You will have access once the Manager approves it.
  9. Check your status on the group page. The right side shows your membership; Edit my membership – pending means you are not yet approved. When "pending" no longer appears, you have access.
